New interests in technology of the children 3.0

The child consumer technology completely changed: no longer see computers as a toy but seek 'real' devices to develop their creativity, increase their learning and entertainment.

As technology evolves, the ability to create, share and acquire information is becoming ever more abundant andare the kids who best understand that utility. A recent study sponsored by Intel shows that computer use is linked directly to age: the younger the user, the greater the use of the new technologies.

For born in the time of technological splendor, today's children are digital natives who not only looking to play and have fun but require devices that accompany growth and mobility.

The possibility of this autonomy does not mean that adults lose sight of the importance of accompanying children inthe role they give to those devices.

The study recommends share and learn with them in their spare time, and use parental control software and serverfilters to protect content which should not be exposed.

In his book "Games, toys and new technologies" (published by Intellectual Capital), sociologist and researcher at CONICET Carolina Duek reflects that "not follow the children on the relationship they have with technology is likehaving never opened the notebook class."

Duek invites adults to take an active role to the exclusive advance screens: "This is not to prohibit but to actively engage in raising the kids: the presence, engagement and attention are the three keys not only to the relationshipbetween children, adults and the game, but link building, "he says.
